Customer Review

The moulding for this product is the same as previous ones. Only the colour has changed. I think that's a good thing. If you're onto a good thing, stick with it. The strap and the clips to (un)do it are all comfortable and secure.

The tip of the stick (furthest away from the part that plugs into your computer) lights up whenever data is being exchanged. This is a great feature. One often finds oneself wanting to know whether data is actually going through.

Let's face it. USB is here to stay. It's a standard these days, and you wouldn't, for example, buy a secondhand laptop at a swapmeet without at least one port (a swapmeet is an Australian name for a computer fleamarket, just for computers).

I checked out the V-Safe software, but must admit I didn't go ahead to protect any private data. Don't do what I do, just do as I say: Go ahead and use V-Safe! Why? Because, if you're anything like me, you'll pass the stick to someone to exchange some snaps or some other file, and you'll never be quite sure as to whether you should have trusted them. But maybe you're not like me, in that you wouldn't pass the stick to someone you shouldn't in the first place.

The cap doesn't become loose. Admittedly it isn't an "unlosable" cap that swivels, but it's still firm and hard to lose because of it's thoughtful colouring.

Verbatim has become a household name in storage media. And you can see why.
